Complete measurement suite

Live FFT spectrum plus dedicated THD, THD+N, THD/THD+N vs Frequency, CCIF 19+20 kHz, SMPTE 60 Hz/7 kHz 4:1, and 31-tone multitone modes.

ASIO & WASAPI I/O

Select input and output devices independently. Use native ASIO or WASAPI paths and change compatible audio backends without restarting the application.

Digital Loopback

Analyze internally generated signals without external cabling or converter influence—useful for checking algorithms and establishing a clean reference.

Precision signal generator

Run synchronized test signals with configurable level, routing, channel phase, and high-precision 64-bit floating-point generation.

Calibrated FFT engine & mouse zoom

Configure FFT size, window, averaging, peak hold, measurement bandwidth, and frequency or amplitude limits. Use mouse zoom directly on the plots for close spectral inspection.

Display channels separately or overlaid with shared axes. Compare level, noise, distortion, and spectral behavior in real time.

Companion utility

MetrixRTAProbe 0.1.3

A native capability and stream-validation utility for finding out what Windows audio endpoints and ASIO drivers really support.

  • Automatic device discovery. Lists WASAPI render/capture endpoints and registered native 64-bit ASIO drivers.
  • WASAPI format matrix. Tests 8-, 16-, 24-, and 32-bit integer PCM plus 32-bit floating point.
  • Sample-rate verification. Checks common rates and reports supported combinations separately for mono and multichannel operation.
  • Real stream testing. Goes beyond capability queries by opening, starting, and stopping an exclusive stream for every accepted format.
  • Shared-mode information. Shows the current mix rate, channel count, encoding, container bits, valid bits, and channel mask.
  • ASIO diagnostics. Reports driver version, clock sources, channel names, native sample types, buffer range, and current sample position.
  • Buffer and latency data. Displays driver-reported buffer sizes and Windows default/minimum device periods where available.
  • Copyable reports. Produces a readable diagnostic report that can be copied directly for troubleshooting or documentation.

Standalone Windows applications. No installer wizard is required.

For additional verification, compare the downloaded EXE against the SHA-256 checksum provided on its GitHub release page; for example, run certutil -hashfile MetrixRTA_0.2.8_x64.exe SHA256 in Windows Command Prompt.
